FROM JAMAICA TO YOU, NEWS
UPDATE! JULY, 2018
Dear Supporters and Friends of Ministry:
“O GIVE thanks unto the LORD, for HE is
good: for HIS mercy endureth for ever”
Psalm 107: 1 (KJV).
I am presently stateside. I arrived in Nashville, Tennessee on July 12, 2018 and will be here until September 8, 2018. So much has transpired since my last visit back in September/October 2017. The ministry has undergone some changes. We lost a pastor from a terminal illness.
Dahlia Jarrett, Pastor of the Wakefield Lord’s Chapel Church.
She was a warrior from her heart, and fought the good fight of faith as well as kept the faith! Faithful until the end. Pastor Dahlia served as secretary of the ministerial committee, worked as Registrar at the seminary where she completed Four years of academic work and was recipient of a Bachelor of Biblical Studies Degree, from Friends International Christian University, (FICU), Merced, California.
A year before her demise, she told me that she regretted she could no longer serve as pastor but would have to step down due to “shortness of breath.” Even in her frailty, Pastor Jarrett managed to attend church and do what could be done on up until the very end. She is sadly missed by the youths and family of God, and those whom she held dearly in her heart! Because of the loss, we had to oversee the Wakefield LCC and assign others to assist. This was difficult as the word of
God reads, “the harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few” St. Matthew 9:37. (KJV). My superscription reads, “Few Laborers for the task.” It is a true statement! The intercessors prayed to the Lord of harvest and He answered their prayer and provided a willing pastor for the Wakefield LCC. Thank God for His faithfulness!
The ministry had an urgent need for more laborers. This came in an unexpected way. Pastors Billy and Dot Traughber Pastors of Bethel Family Worship Center, Lafayette, TN were instrumental in assisting in this area. They had an evangelist that was sent in March of this year.
Evangelist Marcia Hendon. She was just what the ministry needed. Her assignments were Canaan LCC and the mother church, (Samuel Prospect LCC). Evangelist Hendon taught Bible studies on Wednesday nights at Prospect and ministered at the Calabar and Wakefield Church respectively. In addition, she worked with battered women who wanted to get out of those situations so they could serve the Lord as desired. She was a great help during the two months that she was with us. A servant from her heart. An intercessor; an anointed teacher of the word, and operated in the gifts of the Spirit as the Lord led. Our sincere thanks to Pastors’ Traughber for sending her to Jamaica. They really heard from God! Below, is Evangelist Hendon and Blessings (the little girl’s name, whom she worked with) please click on the video and listen to the four year old plus, pray).
